Which operating systems are compatible with the field application made available to technicians?
The IoT Telecom app can be downloaded from both the Android app store and the iOS app store. It was developed with an “offline-first” approach, meaning technicians can do their activities even when they don't have internet access. The app stores the data locally on the mobile device, and as soon as an internet connection is available, the data is automatically sent to the cloud. This allows technicians to continue working and collecting information, even in areas with limited or no connection. When the internet connection is restored, all information will be updated onto the cloud, ensuring that the support team and others involved have access to the latest data.
Do I need a VPN connection or my own server
to use the IoT Telecom app?
No, the IoT Telecom app does not require a VPN connection or its own server to use. It is developed entirely on the AWS cloud and can be accessed from anywhere. In addition, the use of AWS services ensures that the solution has high availability and scalability.
Is it possible to integrate other systems with IoT Furukawa Solution?
Yes, it is possible to make integrations with IoT Furukawa Solution. The application has APIs that allow information to be sent and received, according to the needs of the integrations.
Are the sensors only compatible with Furukawa boxes?
No, sensors are not technologically dependent on optical boxes, which means they can be used in any box that is large enough to accommodate them. Therefore, it is not necessary to use specific optical boxes to enjoy the advantages of the sensors.
How long is the battery life?
Under normal operating conditions, these batteries have a service life of 5 years and need to be replaced when they die. This happens because they use thionyl lithium batteries, which are ideal for applications that must be used for extended periods, such as aerospace and medicine.
How do I get Lora coverage for my project?
The LoRa service can be contracted in two distinct ways: private or public. If the customer chooses the private service, a private network must be created. The public option, on the other hand, is intermediated by Furukawa, which already has a LoRa supplier available.
Are the sensors exclusively compatible with Lora technology?
